Our mooring outboard leg and prop protector allows the outboard to stored in its natural upright position, without the marine growth forming or electrolysis causing deterioration. Some boat aft designs do not allow outboards to be fully tilted out of the water.
The use of the PROP-O-PRO, and the outboard stored the in downward position, brings many benefits:
- Marinas charge for the LOA (length overall) of your boat. This includes up to the tip of your propellor. With the Prop-O-Pro, the LOA of your boat will effectively be up to 1m / 3ft shorter…saving you money on berth rates.
- Prevents water entering air intake when rinsing down
- More deck space
- Prolongs engine anode replacement
- Prevents frost damage in areas prone to cold winters. With the outboard in the upright position, any engine cooling water has naturally drained out and the surrounding water ambient prevents ice from forming internally.
- Prevents propellor theft as it is submerged and hidden from view.
